YUUMAASH COMMUNITY CENTER

Yuumaash’s vision: is to help families in White Swan grow in positive relationships, and to draw strength from our Creator to live a healthy and happy life.

Yuumaash’s mission: is to be a place to heal from wounds by buidling relationships in a safe environment, and a place to transmit culture from the elder generation to the younger generations.

Hours of Operation:
Sunday - Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00-8:00 pm

Answering the call for a safe, secure, healthy environment for the youth of White Swan, Washington, the "Yuumaash" first began in Fall of 2005. Located in the heart of the Yakama Indian Reservation , this Community Center is open to youth of all ages. While the center is predominately an after-school destination for school age youth, we continue to maintain an open door policy for parents and encourage community involvement as well. The possibilities are endless for the Yuumaash, with unknown potential as a focal point for community betterment. Spreading the word of God is exhibited through "practice" rather then "preaching" in this socially unique environment.

If you have a desire to work with youth and an appreciation for cultural diversity, then we encourage you to contact us so that we may work together in order to better serve God's purpose in this community. For more information or to learn how you can become a volunteer, please contact us at 509-877-0960.
